Man sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment for raping six year old girl

A 35-year-old fisherman has been sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl in 2019. The sessions judge, DS Deshmukh, convicted the accused Ritesh Koli, and also fined him with a collective sum of Rs 5000. The prosecution informed that it was on 23, Jan 2019, the victim then aged-6 had gone to play in a garden near her home at around 11 am. The victim narrated the incident to her mother after which a case of rape and other section under Pocso act was registered and was arrested and tried in the case.
