Villupuram MP D Ravikumar moved a motion in the Lok Sabha to call the attention of the Union health and family welfare minister Mansukh L Mandaviya to make a statement in the house on the recent alteration in the National Medical Commission's (NMC) logo wherein the national emblem was replaced by an image of Dhanvantri, an avatar of Lord Vishnu recognized as the god of Ayurveda in the Puranas.
