Wheat consumption has increased in Tamil Nadu due to changing food habits and the Centre should give 15,000 MT of wheat in addition to the existing allocation of 8,532 MT per month. It could be supplied instead of rice or under open market sales scheme (OMSS), said minister for food and civil supplies R Sakkarapani on Wednesday.
