
In keeping with the latest directive from the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), all bank branches in the state have been asked to resume normal operations — for full banking hours till 4pm — from Monday. However, the circular has put bank employees and officers in a fix as no transport arrangement has been made to ferry them to and from their offices during the 21-day lockdown. Additionally, many bank staffers are worried that regular contact with customers, especially during the first few days of the new-month rush, could prove to be hazardous for them.
