On Ayodhya verdict eve, Delhi a fortress

Keeping in consideration the Ayodhya judgment, Delhi Police has stepped up vigil on social media platforms and increased patrolling in communally sensitive areas. In an advisory issued on Friday, Delhi Police said while sufficient police personnel are being mobilised for law and order duties, a requisition has been sent to the Union ministry of home affairs seeking deployment of paramilitary forces. A prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in Lutyens’ Delhi.
