Unicef has expressed concern at the worsening air quality in South Asia. The UN agency’s executive director, Henrietta Fore, who was in Delhi recently to take part in an international event on sanitation, issued a statement on Thursday saying she had seen first-hand how children continue to suffer from the dire consequences of air pollution.
