Traffic police started an inquiry after challans sent to violators through their online portal did not have attached photographic proof. Lack of evidence that allows an accused to contest the violation is leading to piling up of challans, as most violators refuse to pay without proof. Traffic cops have asked the private agency operating the online challan system to reissue the challans with the photographs.
