Kol: 19-yr-old’s kidneys, liver to save 3 lives

The family of 19-year-old Manisha Roy, who was declared brain dead on Wednesday afternoon, has consented to donating the organs of the teenager, which could ensure a fresh lease of life for three persons. The Maniktala resident’s liver and kidneys will be retrieved and transplanted through the night. However, in the absence of a matching recipient, the heart could not be retrieved. This donation comes just a day after Organ Donation Day.
