Suhaana Saifi lost her mother a few years ago. Deeply affected, her father stopped going to work, leaving the responsibility of feeding the family solely on the shoulders of her brother. When it became difficult for Saifi to manage her studies, she approached the Shah Waliullah Library — the famous Old Delhi haunt for researchers and the young alike to read, mingle and discuss — on the insistence of some friends.
